When I was in my early thirties, I met a woman who was an Electrologist. I had never heard of Electrolysis, but was so excited to find out she could remove my chin hair forever! I made an appointment as soon as I could, and started the Journey of permanent hair removal.
When the chin was under control, I had her do my eyebrows and even those embarrassing ear hairs. Since then, I have had my underarms and legs done. I love not shaving my underarms and legs!
It took some time and money, but it sure was worth it! I felt like I had an extra hour a day to use for other things. And when I get ready for the day, I do not have to worry about shaving or plucking anything.
I felt so much better about myself. More feminine and prettier. I did not realize how those hairs affected how I felt about myself.
Years later, I wanted to make a career change. I contacted my Electrologist and went in for a touch up session and to ask how I could become an Electrologist. In 1998 I attended the The New York Institute of Electrolysis on 56th Street in New York City. I lived in the city and had a wonderful experience at school as well as in the city.
In 1999 I became a "Certified Professional Electrologist". This involved taking a comprehensive test administered by the American Electrology Association. This certification is good for a five year period, then I would have to test again to keep the certification.
I have helped many people feel better about themselves through the years and I would love to help you too.
